As soon as the Record overview App is added to your stack, you'll need to select a table and view containing the rows you want to display.
Limit of rows
By default, the record overview app will display every row in a view. If you want to limit the number of rows displayed, turn on the Limit records toggle and type in the desired number.
Sorting of rows
By default, the rows will show up in the app in the order determined by the view you're using. Clicking the Sort row toggle will allow you to add a sort to the rows that appear in the app.
