The Timeline View in Stackby provides a dynamic way to visualize tasks, projects, and schedules over a specific period. It allows you to track events, deadlines, and dependencies in a structured format, making it ideal for project management, resource planning, and scheduling.
Guide to Timeline View
Open Your Stack and Navigate to your workspace and select the table where you want to enable Timeline View.
Create a New Timeline View
Click on the “+ Add View” button.
Select “Timeline” from the list of available views.
Configure Date Fields
Choose the Start Date and End Date columns to define task durations.
If you only have one date column, it will assume a one-day duration.
Share your view with your team and start managing your timelines effortlessly.
Date Setting
1. Date Fields
Start Date Field: Select the column that contains the start date of each task or record. This is a required field.
End Date Field (Optional): Select the column that contains the end date of each task. If left blank, the task will appear as a single-day event.
2. Date Visibility
All Calendar Days: Displays all days of the week, including weekends.
Only Workdays (Mon-Fri): Hides weekends, showing only Monday to Friday for better work scheduling.
3. Initial View (Timescale)
Defines the default timescale that users see when opening the timeline. Options include:
Days (default) – Shows tasks in a daily breakdown.
Hours, Weeks, Months, or Year – Allows broader time visualization.
