The Org Chart app generates an interactive, visual organizational chart directly from your Stackby data — no manual drawing or external tools needed.
What it does
Render a tree-structured org chart from any table with a "Reports To" or parent-link field
Display name, role, profile photo, and department on each node
Expand and collapse branches to navigate large organizations
Click any node to open the full record and edit details inline
Export the org chart as a PNG or PDF for presentations and documents
How to use
Open a Stack containing your people or team data
Click + Add App and select Org Chart
Set the Name field, Parent/Reports-To field, and optionally an image field for avatars
Add secondary display fields: role, department, location
The chart renders immediately — zoom, pan, and explore
To export, click the Download icon in the top right
People tables are natural hierarchies, but grids don't communicate structure the way a chart does. The Org Chart app makes your team data legible at a glance — useful for onboarding, planning, and executive presentations alike.
