Facebook Ads - API Connector

We recently introduced the Facebook Ads integration to our list of integrations. This integration will help you bring in insights/data of your Facebook Ads (from the account you have integrated to your account) directly to Stackby.

How to integrate Facebook to your Workspace

Yes, you do need an API key to integrate this, but the happy news is that you don't need to get the API key manually from Facebook (FB). FB does that for you. Here is what you need to do.

Step 1

Go to Integrations and select the Facebook Ad Insights 

Step 2

Click on Add key, put in a name to the integration so that it is easy for you to recognize. Now, connect to Facebook. 

Step 3

Select your Facebook account (the one which you want to pull data via integration) and once connected it will automatically bring in the API key.

That was the first phase. For the second phase, you need to go back to your Stackby account.

How to bring your Ad or Adset ID

Go to your Facebook Ad manager account

There are two ways to get your Ad ID or Adset ID. You can read that here.

Here is one example on how to bring a campaign ID ( you can use the same way to bring Ad ID or Ad set ID as well):

Step 1: Click the columns dropdown menu and then choose customize columns

Step 2: Under the settings header, select object name & IDs

Step 3: Select Apply and you can see your Ad set or ad ID in the Ads Manager Table

Go to your stack, select API as the column property, add Facebook Ad Insight as the API to connect with. Select Facebook Ad Details service from the service drop-down and add post ID column to reference (that is what you can name the reference column in your stack). 

Next, bring your AD or Adset ID and add to the reference column and click on the refresh button – you will have the Facebook Ad insights pulling in data automatically and adding it to the relevant column (you get to decide which data you want to access by selecting it from our data explorer.
